We recomend everyone with a slate roof purchase the "Slate Roof Bible", By J. Jenkins. Keeping slate in good condition requires annual maintence to replace the broken, deteriorated or missing slate. This can be costly even on a newer slate roof, when larger companies are charging 70 - 80% more than what it takes to get the job done! The more you know about your own roof, the better equiped you will be to protect yourselves from the wolves in sheeps clothing that are prevelant in our community.
